Life in Canada (1400- 1700) – Early Development and Colonization Canada, in the years between 1400 and 1800, went through many changes. The people who lived in Canada experienced many different challenges and problems. For most people, basic day-to-day survival was high on their list of priorities. But what did one do to survive the harsh environment in Canada? Different groups of people found different ways to combat the elements and survive despite the varying climatic conditions.
