Introduction: Canada is a huge and varied land in all ways. In geography, history, economics and culture, each area of Canada is different and unique. In this project, you will share what you have learned about some of the forces, which lead to diversity within the country, and how these forces create regions, which are distinct from one another. The Task: Create a brochure (tri-fold) using Microsoft Publisher to inform people about the unique characteristics of each region, as well as some of the economic and political challenges faced by the people who choose to live in each region. Procedure: Using your notes, maps, and information gathered through the course of this unit, create a brochure advertising the various regions of Canada. Your brochure must contain the following required information:
As well, for each region, please make every effort to answer a minimum of four (if not all) of the following additional elements:
Format: On the tri-fold brochure, you will have
six sections; you must use one section for each region. This means that you must be concise in the information that
you include. Graphics may be used,
but must not take too much space, and should be relevant to the information
presented. Maps are acceptable. Evaluation: Your brochure will be evaluated using the attached scoring criteria. Please be sure to refer to the rubric while you are compiling the information for your brochure.
